I did this Blossoming Basket Card for my club in March to show them how awesome the Basket Weave embossing folder is. This folder will carry over into the 2018 Annual Catalog that starts in June…Yay! I used our awesome Stampin’ Blends for all the coloring. I can’t wait to get new colors to add to my Blends collection.
I patted the Crumb Cake ink pad on the folder before running it through the Big Shot to get shadowing and more texture. Since the dynamic folders do scrunch up the card stock a little more than the standard folders, the ink shifts slightly by the time the bottom is scrunched. I still love the extra effects though and just made sure that was at the bottom of my card. I just had to add some Wink of Stella too.
I know Sale-a-Bration is over, but I have a few more cards to share from my recent classes. The Lots of Lavender stamp set is so quick and easy. If you managed to get this freebie last quarter, here’s another card idea. I used the Shimmery White card stock for the water-colored background since it resists water better than regular Whisper White card stock.
I always put an insert in my cards to write or stamp additional greetings and images on. It gives it a more finished feel and nicer weight. I usually wait on additional greetings though until I know who I’m sending it to and for what occasion. The white piece above is the inside insert for this one.
I got married and changed my name in September, so it seems fitting to re-invent my website too with a new look and a new name. I’m so excited about my name change to Green Moon Stamp Studio. It fits me since I’m a moon-child hippy chick. Green is also my favorite color and now also in my name, Greenlee,…how lucky is that???
The new logo and site which is in progress (possible viewable as you’re reading this, but if not, then very soon) is inspired by my Scottish and Irish roots and my love for the moon and nature. I will start posting and doing videos more often now that my life is settling into a new groove with my amazing husband.
Oh, and don’t forget there’s only about a week and a half before Sale-A-Bration is over. Get free stuff with every $50 or $100 purchase.
Last month, I did a birthday card stamp-a-stack class with these 3 card designs. Thought you might enjoy seeing them.
Here’s an easy way to get monthly Paper Pumpkin kits and a free gift of a Sale-a-Bration item:
During Sale-a-Bration, a 3-month prepaid subscription is just $54.85 (that’s $5 off the regular price).
The greatness of this is that since it’s over $50, you get a free Sale-a-Bration item too!
Skip to the fun for three months with all the stamps, ink, and paper ready to go for amazing papercrafting projects. I have really enjoyed my subscription. I also got a sneak peek of the next 2 months when I was at Leadership last weekend. Two fun projects are coming up…they wouldn’t let us take photos, so I’m looking forward to seeing mine when they arrive! Here’s 2 examples of past kits.
Here’s the link to order the 3-month prepaid and get your free Sale-a-Bration item or click below.
Here’s the link to sign up for monthly kits if you just want one month at a time.
Let Stampin’ Up! do the cutting and prep work so you can skip to the fun!
I’m back to a semi-regular schedule after the holidays. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with family and friends!
This is one of my club cards using the amazing Lotus Blossom set in the Sale-a-Bration catalog.
Colors: Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Lost Lagoon, Whisper White
It’s a 3 step stamp, so you need 3 shades to keep all the detail of each stamp. Experiment on scraps to make sure your color choices make the flower you envisioned.
For this one, I used:
Step 1 – Elegant Eggplant full strength
Step 2 – Elegant Eggplant stamped off once
Step 3 – Perfect Plum stamped off once
Stamp each image with the arrow included on the stamp in roughly the same direction to help you line it up as you look through the photopolymer.
The last week of March we tried out a new retreat that just opened last Fall. WOW! I love it! It’s called Moments Retreat Center and it’s in Lake Dallas, TX. My downline, Becky, found this one for us and we had the whole craft studio to ourselves (5 of us) for the whole weekend starting on Thursday.
Here’s a couple of photos of the studio. See all my tote bags and card stock crates. I took these photos after I packed up to leave.
We have a tool sign up list that I made for the last retreat we tried so we can try not to all bring duplicate tools. I brought all the punches. It pretty much covered an entire table that someone would have used if other crafters were there. I guess in the future, we’ll need some folding tables to put tools on.
A sink and a mini fridge right in the studio was awesome!
The house is beautiful! I wish my house was decorated this nicely. Here’s some photos of our room and the house…we stayed in the Master Suite which was called the Ruby Room. I wish I had taken a photo before we messed up our beds, but all the rooms are beautiful!
We laughed, talked, watched movies, listened to classic rock, and created lots of fun stuff. I can’t wait to go to this one again. Plus, the location is just 30 minutes from my house.
One of my projects was this banner I made with my Sale.a.bration Heartfelt Banner kit. I photographed it on her fireplace ’cause, well, look how nice it looks there! I currently have it hanging over the blinds in my craft room.
Here’s what our stuff looked like after we took over the tables, lol.
BTW, I have a craft show this Saturday at Faithbridge Presbyterian Church in Frisco at College and Hillcrest Rd. And, also be looking out for the retired list which posts on April 21st!
