Magnificent Maple – Crayon Rubbed Embossing Technique

My August Stamp Night card celebrating Fall also demonstrates my technique for this month.

  • Magnificent Maple
  • Four You
  • Gorgeous Grunge

  • Cajun Craze
  • Crushed Curry
  • Chocolate Chip
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Whisper White

Tools / Supplies

  • white crayon (raid your kid’s crayon box)
  • Burlap Ribbon
  • Woodgrain embossing folder
  • Brayer
  • Glimmer Brads – Basics
  • Paper Towel
  • Dimensionals

I love how this turned out.  You get the best results by rubbing the crayon firmly and going over it several times.  Here’s the instructions for the technique written out in my Technique Journal page.

Tomorrow I’ll post the Christmas card.

Stamps Gone Single, Spooktacular Stamp Sale 15% off Monday only, & Digital Week

So many times, I hear, “Well, I just like that one stamp out of that set”.  Well, here’s your chance!  Stampin’ Up! is selling select single stamps as a pilot program in clear mount only.  They will come in a little cello bag and do not include the clear mount block…but we already have those, right!
Here are the flyers for all the current single stamps.  Order them on Monday and they will also be 15% off!  Monday, the 29th, is a Spooktacular stamp sale – all sets and single stamps are 15% off (excludes hostess sets, bundled sets, & digital stamp brush sets).  It’s just this one day, so make your list now and order online Monday to take advantage of the one day sale.
Don’t forget to take advantage of the Christmas bundle too.  Click on my Specials button to see that one.
And, as if that wasn’t enough…there is a digital sale starting tomorrow too.  Check my online store on Monday to see all the details and list of kits that are 50% off.  It will include free downloads, 50% off digital kits, and lots of blogging on all week long.
Get ready for a fun day, tomorrow!  And, don’t forget that online orders will also mark stars off your online shopping reward card with me.
