We had a great time at our Labor Day Retreat 2025 last weekend. My goal was to play with as many new products as possible while having fun with my team and a few former stamp club members. I bought a Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 camera and lots of film so we could take little fun photos during the retreat. Then I thought, we need something to store our little photos in. So, I decorated some DVD stamp cases with photo mats for 3 photos ready to go. Plus, inside, I included a mini tear off 2026 calendar and a notepad. Here’s the outside with retired designer paper from my stash (cut to 7″x10-5/8″).

I actually had so much fun decorating these team gifts that I made 3 too many before I realized I had enough for the retreat. But, oh well, that meant they had more to choose from.
Here’s what the inside looked like. The notepads aren’t attached so you can take them out for taking notes, but they fit inside perfectly. They are Office Depot 5″x8″ notepads with 1″ cut off the bottom. Office Depot cut them all in bulk for me.

Of course, we took cell phone photos too, but made sure everyone got at least 1 vertical and 2 horizontal photos for their stamp case notebook. Taking photos with the Instax was definitely a learning experience.
Here’s some of the fun photos from our favorite retreat, Moments Retreat, in Lake Dallas, TX.

And, of course, we always do a group selfie…

I did design with probably 80% of the new products I brought, so the rest will have to get played with at home. As always, I can’t wait for the next retreat in November…I usually scrapbook at that one.
