Use your specialty papers…this is why you are hoarding them. Your scrapbook is the perfect place to showcase these beautiful papers and keep them forever.
Heat emboss and die cut titles and elements…again, this is the time to go all out and make your memories extra special.
I love double page spreads. It’s eye pleasing for the photos and papers to coordinate across the open pages.
Even though my penmanship is fairly good, I’m planning to do my journaling on the computer. I’ll be able to include a larger story that way and can control the size and shape to fit onto my page easier.
The same concepts for card-making apply to scrapbooking:
Use elements in odd numbers.
Form triangles with your elements.
Draw attention to certain photos and titles by putting embellishments near them.
Mat your photos just like you mat the pieces on a card.
Use dimensionals to lift some elements and photos.
Adapt your favorite card layouts into scrapbook layouts…just size them up.
