Here is part 2 of our adventures in Mexico.  We went to 3 of the parks owned/operated by Xcaret.  The first park, Xplor, was separated into daytime hours and then they switch to nighttime with lights and torches.  We stayed on property to experience both.  Also, when you first get there, you have to get your helmet which is required the whole time you’re in the park.  In the daytime hours, we started with ziplining.

And we did a second hammock chair zipline that landed us in the water.  Then, we rode these little Jeep-like vehicles around the jungle and underground through caves and even across wood bridges.  Tim drove the first time, and then I drove the second time that we did that in the after dark hours.

We also paddled (hand paddles) through the caves on this little raft/canoe.  We had so much fun that we rode this twice too.  However, the second time, we drifted through an area of the cave that had a group of bats flying around near us…freaked me out just a little.

Instead of going to the Mayan ruins (hotel mix-up), we wound up going to the Xcaret park the next day.  So, we swam with dolphins and swam along a river through some caves.

Then, we went to Xel-Ha the next day where we swam all day.  Tim scuba dived to explore underwater caves…not for me…I’m claustrophobic.

Then, we both did the power snorkle.  It was like mini jet skis that pull you through the water…so much fun!  Also, you can use the power to plunge you under water.  I tried it twice, but it’s not for me…I stayed on top of the water.

We decided to just hang out at the resort the last day.  We swam in the infinity pool, sat in lounge chairs watching the ocean, and went to the farewell party later that night (see part 3).

The entire resort property is like a post card in every direction…so beautiful!  Luckily, they have these photo passes, and the parks have cameras set up everywhere so you don’t have to carry your phone around.  We so enjoyed our adventures in Mexico on the Stampin’ Up! incentive trip*.  I’ll post one more time to show photos of the Stampin’ Up! farewell party.

Happy Stampin’
