I just got back from a long weekend craft retreat at Moments Retreat with my team. We love this place! I had team members, Stamp Club members, and a few friends for a total of 11 this time. We spent hours talking and stamping plus enjoyed happy hour, music, DVDs, and a steak night.
Here’s the gift I made for them. I let everyone pick which girlfriend set they wanted. The book is a spiral notebook for taking notes at the retreat or whenever. Also, the girlfriends can be put on a scrapbook page or made into a card.
I love spending time with these ladies. Here are some more photos from the studio space. We use any extra tables for shared tools like punches, inks, and die cutting/embossing stations.
Most everyone brings a bottle or two of wine to share. It’s fun to sample the different wines.
We also have a tradition of steak on the grill (Grill Night) on Saturday night. I have one friend that does links, but everyone else brings a steak for me to grill. Luckily, everyone except two ladies wanted medium rare which made it fairly easy.
I can’t wait to go again. I never get quite as much done as I think I’m going to do. However, I did design/make 31 cards between all the fun. I’ll be posting photos of them in future posts. I brought a frame to do a Summer wall art, but I’ll have to work on that in my own studio.
Happy Stampin’
It was one of the best retreats that I’ve been on. Thank you Barbara for everything that you did to make it a successful and fun long weekend! I’m looking forward to many more with you and your group of amazing gals. x Gloria
