Three of us got together to watch the Creativity Now event live on Saturday. This is the third year in a row for this relatively new event hosted by Stampin’ Up! for demonstrators only. The four hour event included sneak peeks of upcoming products, stamping several make’n’takes (4 this year), and behind the scenes with the designers.
Check out all the stuff we made! Since the designs were fairly simple, I altered all them a bit to add additional layers (except the box). Because I wanted to color some of the birds as cardinals, one of the cards got converted into a Christmas card. We used the new Winterly Tree Tops bundle and coordinating designer series paper, Nests of Winter. Also, the designer paper includes two designs full of birds. The dies will cut the birds out of one of the designs, whereas the other design requires fussy cutting. So, you can also use those birds instead of coloring them in on your own. We used Blends on some of the birds and watercolor pencils on others.
The box top is covered in Metallic Enamel Effects in copper. Plus, more copper enamel for the berries. It didn’t take as long to dry as I thought it would…I need to use this stuff more (I have both the regular & the metallics).
I’m definitely looking forward to next year’s Creativity Now event.
