For July, I taught the Double Embossing Technique featuring the Sunflower 3D embossing folder. As soon as I saw this folder, I decided Early Espresso would be involved somehow. I played with some other techniques and decided on double embossing with copper embossing powder (video link below). Here’s the finished design.

With all the texture created from the technique, nothing needs to be popped up on dimensionals. This is a total departure from normal for me…I always pop things up on dimensionals…lol. Watch my video below to learn two different ways to achieve this technique.
Also, here is my technique journal page showing the mini sample and instructions. I love adding my techniques to my journal every month. I used the Plaster Painting 3D embossing folder for the mini sample.

Colors: Early Espresso, Basic Black, Basic White, Copper
Supplies / Tools (including the mini sample):
I hope you try out this Double Embossing Technique. Check out all your embossing folders…I’m sure you have some that have images where this technique will really highlight them. Leave me a comment with which embossing folder you tried that you loved.

This card is stunning! Thank you!
Such a beautiful card. Thanks for sharing
Could you share the dimensions of the cardstock you used? Such a stunning card that it doesn’t need any added embellishments.
Thanks Kris, I added the dimensions in the description on the video.
I watch your vids all the time! Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Is there anyway you’d consider making a video on your technique book and how to assemble it? I know many of us are so interested in that.
Thank you,
Carole
It’s just a purchased sketch book. I just adhere my sample, add some extra paper or stamping, and instructions (printed on white card stock) onto the page. I’m not sure what else you are referring to for assembly.
