I love the Hello Ladybug set, but the punch only punches the ladybug.  Well, now we have the Tropical Leaf (online exclusive) which is the perfect size for the ladybug to sit on.  I couldn’t decide which color I liked best for my stamp club to make.  My daughter liked the Calypso Coral one, but I just kept going back to the Blackberry Bliss one.

The border dies are part of the online exclusives too, and I love using them to create a panel across the card.  In the new catalog, Stampin’ Up! has a sample of the ladybug with these double wings.  Since I love this look, I couldn’t wait to make a ladybug with these double vellum wings.

Hello Ladybug set and Tropical Leaf

Anyway, my clubs did make the blackberry version.  I only made one of the coral cards which is unusual for me, and I already mailed it to a friend.  It would be fun to make a whole series of these Ladybug & Tropical Leaf cards in blues, greens, and yellows too.  Basically, the ladybug doesn’t have to be a natural color which I sometimes forget…it’s art after all!

Colors: Calypso Coral, Blackberry Bliss, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Basic Black, Basic White
