I knew I was going to buy this Lazy Days bundle the minute I saw it in the catalog. I love the idea of sitting on a big sprawling covered porch even if I don’t get to very often. So, happy blues and yellows seemed like the way to go for this card. I used Azure Afternoon, our new bright blue and Lemon Lolly plus Pecan Pie.
I designed this Lazy Days Bundle card when I was at my retreat. I kept trying to figure out how to get the whole rug on the porch along with using the post and railings. Finally, I realized I didn’t need the whole rug and I could just trim off one side. Just a case of making it harder than it had to be. I’m very happy with the final porch scene. Just needs a pitcher of iced tea on a little table!
Plus, just look how cute that little pillow is! The die cuts and embosses the pillow at the same time. And, I love the ivy growing up the post. That is created with just 2 cuts of the ivy die in the set.
