I hadn’t played with the Marbled Elegance paper yet, so I thought I should at least play with it before Valentine’s Day. Plus, one of my Stamp Club ladies requested a design using it. So, here’s what I made today.

marbled elegance paper from Stampin' Up! with the distressed tile embossing folder and the Hugs for Love Bundle.

I love the look of ripped paper and since this Marbled Elegance paper is so dynamic, I thought I’d distress it with the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder. Plus, by ripping it, you can get two card fronts from one rectangle piece instead of just one. Just cut your normal card front size. Then, cut on a diagonal and rip toward you for each triangle. Mat the ripped paper onto white card stock before you run it through the embossing folder.

I’ve also been wanting to use the Hugs For Love Bundle…so I used that for the greetings. And, I needed some leaves or hearts, and decided to go with dies from the Stippled Roses Bundle cut from gold foil. I heat embossed the tag outlines in gold to match the paper. I love how you can orient the tag either way.

Colors: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Basic White, Gold

Next, I need to design cards for my February Stamp-a-Stack class.
