There is new packaging coming for Stampin’ Up!’s stamps and dies. Plus, 2 product lines are being discontinued. Here’s everything you need to know about the changes.

What’s Changing?

  • First, Stampin’ Up! is going to all photopolymer stamps (Cling/red rubber is being discontinued) starting with the November Online Exclusives release.
  • New packaging is coming for dies and stamps. Larger envelopes (9″x5-5/8″) with art work on both stamp and die label inserts.
  • Stampin’ Write markers are being discontinued.

Here’s a photo of the new packaging for an upcoming November Online Exclusive bundle.

Why the Change?

  • Red Rubber (Cling Stamps) – Stampin’ Up! is experiencing challenges in sourcing the necessary raw materials, plus, the industry standard is moving to photopolymer anyway.
  • New Packaging – Because photopolymer stamps are thinner, they can fit in sleeker, slimmer packaging that saves space. Both stamps and dies will now come in the same size and style of packaging, making it easier than ever to store bundles and coordinating products together. The new packaging is similar to current die packaging—durable, clear plastic envelopes, but with art work on both stamps and dies.
  • Stampin’ Write Markers – With the growing popularity of Stampin’ Blends, there’s been a steady decline in sales of Stampin’ Write Markers. Plus, one of the primary techniques unique to Stampin’ Write Markers is coloring directly on cling (rubber) stamps—a technique that will become less relevant with the transition away from cling.

Here’s how the envelopes look on the other side and how they stack together on a shelf. Storing them will take way less space, but they are taller, so you’ll need to consider that in your storage system.

Benefits & Timing

  • Packaging is sized to fit a variety of organization systems already on the market.
  • All new stamps and dies starting with November Online Exclusives will come in the new packaging.
  • Photopolymer stamps released prior to November will transition to the new packaging with a rolling change.
  • Dies released prior to November will not transition to the new packaging.

  • Cling stamps released in Online Exclusives through September 2025 will be available—based on demand—until April 2026 at the latest. Some will likely discontinue prior to April.
  • In April 2026, all remaining cling stamps will move to Last Chance Products and be available while supplies last.
  • Empty Stamp & Die Organizers (167772) will be available in packs of 10 for $16 USD as part of the November 2025 Online Exclusives (this is the new size envelopes).
  • Embossing folder packaging is not changing at this time
  • All stamps and dies will be the new size envelopes except maybe one or two a year which maybe larger/different size due to the specific stamps/dies.
  • On August 20, 2025, all Stampin’ Write Markers will move to Last Chance Products and be available while supplies last.
  • Black Journaling Pen will still be available (Black .04 Stampin’ Journaling Pens item#166647).

Whew! That’s a lot of information to digest, but I’m excited about the envelopes over the DVD cases. Plus, I find myself choosing my photopolymer stamps way more often than my rubber ones. So, this is a welcome change for me. Since I currently use DVD shelves, I’m still deciding on how I change my storage system though. It will probably include some dividers.

Let me know if you have any questions about the changes.

Happy Stampin’

Barbara
