I have a storage tip for you for keeping your ink pads perfectly organized.  I decided to organize my ink pads by color like a rainbow.  However, if I was using too many at once on my table, I wasn’t sure in which order they went back into the unit.  Since I spent quite a bit of time deciding their exact order (can you say…OCD?), I wanted to maintain that same order.

I decided to put a liner with a color name label on each shelf.  Now, I always know where the ink goes and which ink pads are missing.  Happiness!!!  Plus, using the liners means I can rearrange them anytime or swap out colors when Stampin’ Up! does the next color refresh (this happens about every 5 years or so).

Just measure the ink pad or the slot to get your liner measurements.  I used Crumb Cake card stock measuring 3-1/2″ x 4-1/8″.  Then, I used a 1″ circle punch to mimic the finger slot on my unit.  Once I had the perfect amount of circle punched out, I used it as my template to make 60 of them.

I’m so happy with the results.  The crumb cake color blends into the natural wood so well.  Of course, you could use whatever color might match your particular storage unit.  These are Stamp-n-Storage ink pad units.  And, in case you’re curious, my label maker is a Dymo LetraTag.

Happy Stampin’
