I designed this Artistically Inked “Thanks” card for my stamp club this month, and it was our technique card. Have you ever wished a favorite greeting die had two sizes so you could mat your greeting? This Split Color Tag technique helps give your greetings extra pop and color without being matted.
I used three sequins from the Ephemera Pack to add a little sparkle. Also, I used a cut piece of Adhesive Sheet added to the back of the Gold Foil paper before running the large leaf through the Cut & Emboss Machine making it easier to adhere. Plus, that way, most of the little pieces stay behind on the adhesive sheet when you peel off your foil.
Here is the sample and technique instructions for our technique book. Stamp your greeting first, then “underline” it with card stock or designer paper, then die cut or punch. Make sure you use Basic White or Very Vanilla for the bottom layer so your tag isn’t too thick to die cut or punch.
Colors (Card Stock / Ink): Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Shaded Spruce, Basic White, Gold
