File Folder Santa Card – Envelope Punch Board

Our technique for October was making a File Folder Card using the Envelope Punch Board.

  • Tag It (Stampin’ Up! donates $3 from the sale of this set to Ronald McDonald House Charities)
  • Alhambra (Jumbo Wheel)

  • Old Olive
  • Cherry Cobbler
  • Whisper White
  • Early Espresso

Tools / Supplies:

  • Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack
  • Chalk Talk Framelits & Big Shot
  • Envelope Punch Board
  • Scallop Trim Border Punch
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels
  • Baker’s Twine
  • Glue Dots & Dimensionals

We made a page for our Technique Journal too using Perfect Plum, Old Olive, and Elegant Eggplant…one of my favorite color combinations.

For the little technique book sample, we punched the file tab at the 2″ mark instead of 3″.  The background on the page was stamped with the Tape It and Secret Garden stamp sets.  Also, I always use My Digital Studio for the instructions so I can match the colors and add Stampin’ Up! digital stamps.

Festive Season’s Greetings Card

One of my October Stamp Night Projects using the Festive Flurry bundle (among other things of course).  I made this one while at a craft retreat inspired by another demo’s card that I saw on our site.  I love the Woodgrain folder used on white card stock.

  • Joy to the World
  • Festive Flurry

  • Naturals White
  • Crumb Cake (or was it Sahara Sand card base…I’ll have to look and update)
  • Whisper White
  • Cherry Cobbler

Tools / Supplies:

  • Gold embossing powder / heat tool
  • Festive Flurry Framelits
  • Seam Binding Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler
  • Basic Jewels, Pearls
  • Woodgrain embossing folder / Big Shot
  • Oval Collection Framelits
  • Natural Composition Specialty paper
  • Glue Dots / Dimensionals

You can leave the seam binding ribbon smooth or crunch it up for a more vintage look.

Christmas Star Card – Embossed and Folded

The Christmas Star stamp is one of Stampin’ Up!’s single stamp offerings.  I love how it looks heat embossed with the silver embossing powder, but it’s even more beautiful when you fold the star so that it pops off the card.  I did a little video showing how.  Here’s the link.

Stamp Sets:

  • Christmas Star
  • More Merry Messages
  • Everything Eleanor (swirl for envelope)

  • Coastal Cabana
  • Smoky Slate
  • Whisper White

 Supplies / Tools:

  • Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Silver embossing powder / Heat Tool / VersaMark ink
  • Stampin’ Pierce Mat
  • Simply Scored Stylus
  • Needlepoint Embossing Folder
  • White Baker’s Twine

I also used the Cut & Ready Card Bases to save time cutting the parts for this card.  You get 20 in a package…perfect for making Christmas cards.  I hope you enjoy the video!

Season of Style This and That Journal – The Stylish Way to Organize Your Holiday

I decorated the cover of my Season of Style This and That Journal at the craft retreat we went to Labor Day weekend.  I offset the decoration to make room for the Baked Brown Sugar Ruffle Stretch Trim.  I love this stretchy ribbon for keeping scrapbooks and journals closed (especially if you use large embellishments inside).

  • Joyful Christmas
  • Christmas Messages

  • Early Espresso
  • Baked Brown Sugar
  • Cherry Cobbler
  • Old Olive
  • Sahara Sand
  • Gold

Extras / Supplies:

  • Chevron Embossing Folder
  • Burlap Ribbon
  • Deco Labels Collection Framelits
  • Circles Collection Framelits
  • VersMark / Heat Tool
  • Gold embossing powder
  • Glimmer Brad

The Journal has sections and pockets to keep track of everything:  4 calendars, card giving, gift giving, decorating, baking, parties, shopping, receipts…even stickers to put on your calendars or wherever.  A Christmas rotary stamp is also available (use markers to ink it up).

I love doing this every year.  It helps me next year to look back and see what I got for everyone the year before, when I did everything, and how many cards I sent out.  The calendars are empty so you can add the dates and use them for any year.  Order yours by clicking on the Shop Now button in the margin of my blog.
