While it takes a little patience, I love the effects on this floating frame technique card. The stamp set, Floating & Fluttering, is perfect for this technique, but you can use large sunflowers or other images too. Just arrange your images on your card stock mat, hold in place with Press’nSeal then flip over and trim the excess. After that, die cut or punch a center shape out of just the frame held in place by the Press’nSeal (see additional tips below). That is, you are removing the frame from the mat when you cut the center. Then, flip over your frame and add a ton of dimensionals (both sizes). Then, just adhere back to your mat and finish your card.
My stamp club did this one for our March club. Here is the mini floating frame technique card sample and instructions they completed for their technique books.
Some additional tips for best results with your Press’nSeal:
- Reduce the stickiness of your Press’nSeal by first sticking it to your jeans a couple of times.
- Re-use the same Press’nSeal if doing multiples to also reduce stickiness.
- When removing the Press’nSeal, pull toward you like with contact strips to release from your stamped images. This reduces pulling off color from your stamped images.
