I demonstrated the Floating Strips technique in December for this cute Nests of Winter card. It’s a very simple technique to use with a large focal image. Your image can be in the floating strip area or on the card just overlapping your strips for a background like a sailboat with a floating strips sunset. However, I chose to do a winter card this go around. I think this card would make a good option for a winter birthday card.

Here’s the technique journal page I completed in my technique book for this Floating Strips Technique. I decorated the page with more of the designer paper from the Nests of Winter paper pack. The little red square is where the QR code will go for my video so I have easy access to watch the video or show it to someone.

And, of course, here is the short video. Give it a watch and leave me a comment!
