I designed a Legendary Ride hinge card for my in person stamp club to make this month. Since my husband and I ride, I knew I would be buying this Ready to Ride Suite as soon as I saw it in the mini catalog. The designer paper in the suite is just amazing. I decided to use both sides on the left panel in case someone didn’t want to use the roses side. That way, they could visualize exactly what it would look like. Also, after I made the first one, I realized I should have added some Pumpkin Pie in the flames…so one sample has that and one doesn’t.
I made the hinge portion cut a little wider than usual to accommodate the motorcycle…2-1/4″. Check out the little Adhesive-Backed Studs too for the “hinge” decoration. Also, use Wink of Stella to color in the road dirt/scenery. Here’s another view of how it stands up.
The opening is great for a masculine card. Guys will love it! I also put a second die cut piece of Soft Suede on the back of the greeting to give it a more finished look when open.
And, here is the technique sample I designed for my club members to put in their technique journal using Basic Gray. The directions show a more modest cut hinge of just 1-1/2″. You can make that cut any size depending on the image you want on your hinge.
Card Colors: Soft Suede, Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie Blend (inside flames)
