I designed this quick and easy Snowy Wonder card for my in person clubs this month.  The paper in this suite has penguins that you can die cut out.  But, I wanted the penguin that has this knit hat.  So, I decided to just punch him out of the paper with a circle punch and mat him on another circle.  Garden Green and Pool Party are probably not two colors I would normally put together.  However, since they are paired up in the Snowy Scenes designer paper, that was my color scheme…I actually love them together!

Since I wrapped the pompom ribbon around the card front, I put the whole front up on dimensionals to accommodate the little pom-poms.  And, I can’t imagine how I lived without the Spotlight on Nature dies before these came out…lol.  I find myself using them on everything.

Die Cutting Tip:

Here’s a tip for you…when I was punching out the penguins, I realized that this is a great way to free all the images from the paper ahead of die cutting.  That way, you don’t have to do as much cutting around images that you will be die cutting out anyway.  Just pick a punch that works for the size of the images you want without compromising the neighboring images.
