For August, my club did this Chevron Background Technique. This is a great technique for designer paper scraps or just to show off all the coordinating designs in a paper pack. I used the Iconic Celebrations 6″x6″ designer paper and the Changing Leaves bundle for this card, but also made a few more samples with different paper packages.
This technique is so quick and easy. I loved the other samples I made too using different paper packs. My favorites are the Countryside Inn ones (the Boho Blue & Night of Navy cards). Here’s all the other samples (with some variations as well) that I made using this technique.
And, of course, here’s my technique journal page with the instructions and the mini card sample. On the mini sample for the book, I used 1/2″ strips. For the regular size cards, I used mostly 1″ strips, but on one of the Boho Blue cards I used 3/4″ strips.
But wait there’s more…lol…I also did a video for this technique plus showing the baby wipe technique for the inside of the card and the envelope.
